As the first professional banking qualification in Hong Kong to attain QF Level 6 accreditation — equivalent to a Master’s degree — it establishes a unified benchmark for the industry, enhances career advancement opportunities, and clarifies the vocational progression pathway for banking professionals.Implementation of New Structure in Certified Banker ProgrammeTo address evolving market needs and broaden the talent pipeline in the banking sector, HKIB enriched the curriculum with two new specialist streams: GBA and Cross-boundary Banking Management, and Fintech Management, and a new Core Module, Strategic Management and Leadership. Effective from 27 May 2024, the updated programme structure includes the mandatory Core Module.Launch of Specialist Stream in GBA and Cross-boundary Banking ManagementThe GBA and Cross-boundary Banking Management Stream was launched in 2024 with the aim of providing banking practitioners with the critical knowledge and skills needed to navigate the dynamic banking landscape in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area (GBA). Participants will gain key insights into the unique opportunities and challenges presented by the GBA market. The specialist stream comprises two modules: 1) GBA Banking Compliance and Cross-boundary Wealth Management, which covers compliance, wealth management, and the GBA regulatory framework, and 2) Crossboundary Banking Strategy and Management, which focuses on strategic and international banking standards in the GBA context.Launch of Specialist Stream in Fintech ManagementTailored for holders of the Enhanced Competency Framework-Fintech (Professional Level), this stream offers exemptions to facilitate progression toward an advanced professional qualification.「銀行專業會士」是學會的旗艦銀行專業資歷課程，為從業員提供多種通用、專業和策略性的技能組合。這是香港首個獲得資歷架構認可的銀行專業資歷，屬資歷架構中的第6級，資歷級別等同於碩士學位水平。這課程為行業設立統一基準，增加就業晉升機會，並為銀行業專業人士提供明確職業發展途徑。「銀行專業會士」課程推出新結構為滿足不斷轉變的市場需求以及擴大銀行業人才儲備，學會豐富課程內容，新增「大灣區及跨境銀行管理」與「金融科技管理」兩個領域，亦設立核心單元「策略管理及領導力」。自2024年5月27日起，課程結構已更新新增必修核心單元。推出「大灣區及跨境銀行管理」領域「大灣區及跨境銀行管理」課程於2024年推出，旨在為銀行從業員提供應對粵港澳大灣區不斷發展銀行業務所需的關鍵知識與技能，助其深入了解大灣區市場帶來的獨特機遇和挑戰。課程包括兩個單元1「)大灣區銀行合規及跨境財富管理」，涵蓋合規、財富管理和大灣區監管架構以及2「)跨境銀行策略及管理」，聚焦大灣區的策略和國際銀行業標準。推出「金融科技管理」領域此領域專為持有「銀行專業資歷架構金融科技（專業級）」資格的人士而設透過豁免安排，助其取得高級專業資格。「銀行專業會士」Certified Banker (CB)
