A notable highlight in 2024 was the successful study tour for senior bankers to Nansha, Guangzhou, which fostered valuable knowledge exchange and collaboration.Building on our existing mutual recognition partnerships, we entered into a new agreement in 2024 for mutual recognition of professional fintech qualifications awarded by HKIB and the Secretariat of Shenzhen-Hongkong-Macau Fintech Professional Programme, with the goal of cultivating a larger talent pool of fintech specialists in Hong Kong.Our southbound study programmes have gained significant traction in Mainland China, with participation doubling to over 1,000 practitioners last year. In addition, we launched the %u201cSpecialist Certificate in Green Finance and Sustainability%u201d in collaboration with the Macau Institute of Financial Services, receiving favourable feedback from Macao%u2019s financial services sector.Internationally, HKIB has deepened its global influence through our partnership with The London Institute of Banking and Finance. This collaboration has enriched the Certified Banker Programme with global perspectives and best practices, further enhancing its value to members.A Vision for a Thriving FutureAs we look ahead, I am optimistic about the future of HKIB and the banking industry we serve.
