With continued membership growth and enhanced local and overseas collaboration and influence, HKIB remains committed to building a resilient banking workforce. We are focused on equipping banking professionals with the skills needed to thrive in the current environment, while nurturing the next generation of talent to capture emerging opportunities in this dynamic landscape.Driving Growth in Membership and Developing Training OpportunitiesThe Institute continues to serve as a key provider of professional training and a certification hub for the banking sector. To further enhance our training offerings, the Institute has introduced four new professional banking qualifications, reinforcing our role as the industry%u2019s training and certification hub. These achievements not only reflect the trust that banking professionals place in HKIB but also underscore the growing demand for high-quality professional development within the industry.Building a Future-Ready Workforce Through CollaborationContinuing our efforts to foster industry collaborations, HKIB hosted and co-organised nearly 90 industry events during the year, attracting close to 13,000 participants. These include the Annual Banking Conference 2024 and the Commissioners%u2019 Dialogue Series. The success of these events was made possible through the invaluable support and collaboration of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), The Hong Kong Association of Banks (HKAB), financial institutions and government agencies.Building on this strong foundation, HKIB is further leveraging cross-boundary partnerships and talent exchange initiatives across the Greater Bay Area.
